Entries are now being accepted for this year's Cook Off which will be on Saturday, April 29, 2006, from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, 1035 Canterbury Street in Roslindale. Contestants must have their dish ready at 5:30 p.m. Judging starts promptly at 6pm.
This year’s categories are: Morning Delights (your best brunch dish); Funky Finger Food (those little nibbles you serve to company); Ladle it Up! (your best soups, chilis and chowders); Put’n On the Ritz (the dish that dazzles your date); 30 Minute Meals w/Rachel Ray (duplicate any of her recipes) and Happy Endings (no meal would be complete without dessert). Recipes do not need to be original.
RULES: The competition is limited to the first 80 entries. NO walk-in entries will be allowed. Upon receipt of the entry a confirmation letter with the judging criteria will be sent to entrants. Entries received after April 10 will not receive their letter. Entry forms are available at Centre Cuts Salon and Day Spa and Travel by Judie Leon in Roslindale Village, MJ’s Pizza & Subs Sacred Heart Rectory, Sacred Heart School or by e-mail at CookOff2006@aol.com. The entry fee is $5 per recipe.
Norm Thibeault from Oldies 103.3 will again serve as Master of Ceremonies for the evening. Please plan on joining us for this event and be sure to vote for the People's Choice Award. Tickets are $15, $10 for senior citizens, and will be available at Sacred Heart School and Rectory after April 1.
